Dream to Reality
Exploring What We Believe and Why
artist Kim Richelle
Exhibit runs: April 23 - May 29, 2021
Opening Extended hours April 23
5 - 7pm
The fascinating path to why we believe what we believe evolves through self-expression and interpretation of family, history, religion, art, nature, experience.
Dream to Reality explores that path through the mythological illustrations and writing of Charlevoix artist Kim Richelle. Kim’s books don’t fit tidily into a category or genre. Yet she has written tomes and tales of faerie and tarot, written and illuminated for adults. Richelle is an elegant illustrator who has embraced mythology and her own gift of clairvoyance since childhood.
The exhibit features her original prints, paintings and book signings/readings from her books, The Day Rue Flew, 2000, Banshee, Shed the Cloak of Control, 2019. Her next illustrated book Faerie Fobia, focuses on fear, suppression and bias toward homophobia and other prejudice.
