With instructor Bethany "Beamer" Baumann!
No experience required. Creative, fun, and lively class filled with lots of opportunity for your child to learn rhythm and timing. Foot, ankle, arm and core muscles will all be strengthened while learning how to balance and isolate different muscles in the foot and leg. This class will lay a foundation for tap using games and fun choreography to keep your child engaged. Students will learn a dance in 6 weeks and have the opportunity to show family and friends their new skills at the session's last class. There will be no formal recital, or costume purchase necessary for this 6 week session.
Dress Code:
Black Tap shoes and a leotard required. Pants and T-shirt for male students

Ages 7 to 10

No experience required!
In a non-competitive atmosphere students will learn how to make complex rhythms with their feet at a pace they can thrive and build confidence. This upbeat, lively class will teach the fundamentals of tap, basic pattern and choreography memorization using drills and fun games. Students will learn a dance in 6 weeks and have the opportunity to show family and friends their new skills at the sessions last class. There will be no formal recital, or costume purchase necessary for the 6 week session.
*If your student is 10 and has taken a Level I class twice with miss Beamer, please register them for Level II. Questions? Email instructor beamer.dance@gmail.com

Black Tap shoes and leotard or black leggings and black top required. Hair neatly pulled back and no jewelry.

Ages 11 - 14

Students should be prepared to be challenged in this level II class. No experience is required, but the basics will be reviewed quickly and more challenging material will be covered. A new combination will be taught every week and added to the choreography the students are expected to memorize. Each week will add to the tappers skill level quickly, and students will learn a dance in 6 weeks and have the opportunity to show family and friends their new skills at the sessions last class. There will be no formal recital, or costume purchase necessary for the 6 week session.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Weather-Related
In the event that Charlevoix Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, classes will be cancelled. To the best of our ability, CCA will schedule a make-up class. Refunds will not be provided if the student is unable to attend a rescheduled class.
​
Minimum Enrollment
If a class does not have the minimum number of students enrolled, CCA will notify you prior to the first session that the class is cancelled and will offer a full refund to the student. (Credit card payments will be refunded to the same card and check & cash payments will be refunded by check.)
​
Student Withdrawal
Due to artist/instructor preparations and travel, we do not provide refunds.
