Jasmine Petrie
Jasmine has been exploring the worlds of weaving and dyeing for over a decade. She enjoys the complexity of these tactile arts, which she expresses under the name Howl at the Loom. She holds an Associate of Arts and Certificate in Textiles from North Central Michigan College. She continues to be hungry for deeper knowledge of fiber arts which has led her to seek further study under renowned instructors including Shanna Robinson, India Flint, Elin Noble, Mary Zicafoose, and Alissa Allen. Jasmine grew up in Michigan’s Northern Lower Peninsula and still calls this region home. She and her family reside near the South Arm of Lake Charlevoix with their myriad of animals and plants. She is happiest in the studio, the forest, her garden, on the road, or in the water – enjoying the four seasons of Michigan to their fullest!
