CHARLEVOIX PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB: 17th annual juried exhibition

Charlevoix Circle of Arts, in partnership with the Charlevoix Photography Club, is pleased to present the 17th Annual Juried Photography Exhibition, which showcases the talent and creativity of local photographers and members of the Charlevoix Photography Club. The exhibit features a diverse range of photographic work across seven categories: Landscape, Animals, Flora, People, Still Life, Black & White, and Creative.
This year’s exhibition will be juried by Kim Mettler, a Boyne City-based professional photographer with nearly 20 years of experience. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place in each category, along with Honorable Mentions selected at the juror’s discretion.

An exhibit for the whole community!
Participants of all ages and skill levels are invited to capture the ordinary, the extraordinary, and everything in between for One Day in the Life. This is your chance to tell a story, share a moment, and show your unique perspective.
Be part of a celebration of creativity, diversity, and connection. All images must be taken on July 15, 2026, between 12:00am and 11:59pm.
Selected images will be displayed in the main gallery in a continuous timeline based on each photo’s timestamp—creating a collective snapshot of life in Charlevoix.

THE WORK OF ROCCO PISTO
EXHIBIT RUNS: March 6 - April 11, 2026
OPENING RECEPTION:
Friday, March 6 from 5-7pm.
Modern Expressionism, spontaneity and abstraction in watercolor.
This show showcases the work of award winning Michigan artist and president emeritus of the Michigan Watercolor Society, Rocco Pisto.
About the artist:
Rocco Pisto has spent over 50 years as an artist focused primarily on abstract watercolor painting.
Rocco earned a Bachelor of Fine Art degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1974 with post baccalaureate studies and Master of Fine Art work at both Wayne State University and Eastern Michigan University. As a graduate student, Rocco was granted a teaching fellowship.
Currently, Rocco is President Emeritus of the Michigan Watercolor Society (MWCS) after serving for more than 10 years on the board holding various positions. He also holds both a Signature Membership and Great Lakes Fellow designation in that group; as well as memberships in the National Watercolor Society, International Society of Experimental Artists (ISEA), and the Brighton Art Guild. Rocco’s artwork has won several awards from different nationally recognized artists that jury the
MWCS Annual Exhibitions. He has also been asked to jury various community exhibitions and provide experimental watercolor workshops. Currently based in Michigan, Rocco has exhibited in a number of galleries in Ohio, Michigan and Arizona.
