What does a day in your life look like in Charlevoix, MI?

We invite our entire community—all ages and skill levels—to capture the ordinary, the extraordinary, and everything in between for our community photo project and showcase, One Day in the Life. This is your chance to tell a story, share a moment, and share your unique perspective.

THEME:  One Day in the Life – A 24-Hour Timeline

From midnight to midnight, sunrise and sunset, the mundane to the magical—we’re looking for images that reflect a single day in your life, or the life of someone (or something) meaningful to you.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: Open to everyone in Charlevoix, MI (49720)

We encourage businesses, organizations, individuals, families, students, workers, visitors—everyone—to take part. Photographers of all experience levels are welcome, from first-time participants to seasoned professionals. There is no cost to participate.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

• Photos must be taken in Charlevoix, MI on July 15, 2026 between the hours of 12:00am and 11:59pm. You only have this one day – plan ahead!

• Submit up to 24 images. There are 24 hours in the day- document away!

• Print images on standard photo paper in any size up to a maximum of 8" x 10". Photos may be printed locally at Picture This, Village Graphics, or Walgreens, or through many online photo printing services and websites.

• Label the back of each photo with: your name, time captured, location, and title.

• Deadline to submit printed images: August 5, 2026 at Charlevoix Circle of Arts.

EXHIBIT DETAILS:

Selected works will debut in a special showcase September 4 -12, 2026 at Charlevoix Circle of Arts. Portions of the display may remain on view beyond these dates alongside future exhibits. The showcase will bring together images arranged by time, forming a collective visual timeline of a shared day in Charlevoix. This is a unique opportunity to share your perspective and contribute to a collective snapshot of life in our community.

• After taking your photos on July 15, complete this Photo Submission Form, and turn in with your printed images by August 5.
