YOUTH SUMMER CAMPS
WE AIM TO INSPIRE YOUTH! STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO HARNESS THEIR OWN CREATIVITY, BUILD PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS & LEARN DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES. ALL WHILE GETTING A LITTLE MESSY!

ALL classes & workshops are held in our garden level art & dance studios accessible by stairs only unless otherwise noted.
ART CAMP
JUNE 16 - 20, 2025
Monday - Friday, 9am - 12pm
Ages: 7 - 12
Fee: $125 or $112.50 for members.
Students bring:
Water bottle & snack each day.
THEME: UNDER THE SEA
Explore all kinds of creatures and mediums! In this class, students will create a series of pieces all relating to the ocean and/or lakes. Students will also receive the opportunity to play and experiment with a variety of mediums for artmaking, including paper, paint, printmaking, and more.
Family & friends are welcome to come the last 15 minutes of Friday's class for the Art Show Finale!

DANCE CAMP
JUNE 16 - 20, 2025

THEME: TANGLED
Come enhance your ballet skills in this Tangled themed Camp! We invite you to join us as we gracefully chasse into the world of Rapunzel. This camp is designed for kiddos who love ballet (or dance in general) while enjoying the company of good friends and fun games! Dancers will learn ballet inspired choreography and create beautiful Rapunzel themed crafts to use as a prop and to take home.
Dress code: black leggings, solid colored t-shirt, and socks to move easy around in. Or, if student has previous dance experience, a leotard (solid color) tights and ballet shoes.

ART CAMP
JUNE 30 - July 3, 2025
Monday - Thursday, 9am - 12pm
Ages: 7 - 12
Fee: $100 or $90 for members.

THEME: EVERYTHING WATERCOLOR
This camp will focus more on the technical aspects of watercolor painting, while still incorporating play with the medium. Students will learn the basics of working with watercolor paint, as well as color theory, composition, and personal style.
Family & friends are welcome to come the last 15 minutes of Thursday's class for the Art Show Finale!

THEME: ALL ABOUT BUGS!
Calling all bug lovers! This week we will create art in different mediums, showcasing all different kinds of bugs. Students will have opportunities to play with new mediums and create new pieces every day. Specifically, we will work with mixed media collage, sculpture, and printmaking.

THEME: PETER AND THE WOLF
Come learn to tell a story through music, dance and fun!
In this 5 day work shop we will be learning musicality and story telling through movement with a ballet/modern focus. Children will learn how to dance and move their bodies to depict each character from the exciting fairy tale symphony by Sergei Prokofiev, Peter and The Wolf. During the 5 days we will also be creating a themed craft to use as a prop as we dance, and to take home.
Dress code: black leggings, solid colored t-shirt, and socks to move easy around in. Or, if student has previous dance experience, a leotard (solid color) tights and ballet shoes.

THEME: FAIRY FUN
This class is all about fairies! Students will make their very own crown, wand, wings, and bracelet, to create their very own fairy ensemble PLUS other projects. Be prepared for lots of glitter!

THEME: NATURE'S RHYTHMS
In this 5 day workshop students will connect the movement of dance with the natural world by exploring the different elements in nature— water, earth, fire, and air. Students will be able to experience how nature influences their movements through a mix of ballet and modern dance. There will be student-lead choreography and we will be doing nature inspired crafts to take home at the end of the week!

CANCELLATION POLICY
Student Withdrawal
Due to artist/instructor preparations and travel, we do not provide refunds.
Weather-Related
In the event that Charlevoix Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, classes will be cancelled. To the best of our ability, CCA will schedule a make-up class. Refunds will not be provided if the student is unable to attend a rescheduled class.

Minimum Enrollment
If a class does not have the minimum number of students enrolled, CCA will notify you prior to the first session that the class is cancelled and will offer a full refund to the student. (Credit card payments will be refunded to the same card and check & cash payments will be refunded by check.)
